(Here I am again, writing something months later from when this actually happened, sorry.)
If you have been following me for quite some time, you might well know that me and my friends have this annual thing every Valentine’s season.
Every February for the past decade, it has been tradition for us to go to some place new (or familiar), to celebrate together Valentine’s day. Our forever dates, so we say.
But since the pandemic, we have just stayed put and have not seen each other for quite some time since we all live in different places and time zones.
Fortunately, as the world is gradually bouncing back, so did we. Our annual February getaway finally resumes and we meet in Singapore.
Day 1

Met up with one friend in Manila and met the others in Singapore, one flew all the way from Australia.

First stop was the famous Jewel Changi Airport, it’s a nature-themed entertainment complex across Terminal 1 where you could do some fun activities as well as satisfy your thirst for some retail therapy. We met at the Rain Vortex and it was Disney themed, so cool! Such amazing architecture! There were actually a lot more things to explore inside Jewel Changi but we were really hungry as we arrived late in the evening already so we went ahead to check in to our hotel.
We stayed at Hotel Grand Central in Orchard and it was a very convenient place to stay at, the bus stop was just right around the block and the train station was just a quick walk.
After checking in, we went to Jumbo Seafood in ION Orchard to get those famous crabs. And boy, it did not disappoint. We were so full, I felt like I was going to explode.

We had the stir fried with golden salted egg crab, signature black pepper crab, seafood fried rice and fried chicken. You can check out their menu here –> Jumbo Seafood Menu
Walked a good 20 minutes back to our hotel to burn out the whopping dinner we just had.
Day 2
Almost complete. Missing 2 crazies who were not able to come due to some unforeseen circumstances.
Headed to the bus stop and I wouldn’t be your trusted navigator if you won’t initially be boarding the wrong bus. You get around by getting lost, lol.

Just hung out at the Marina. We had lunch at the hotel and roamed around.

Weather was not really friendly during the afternoons so we hung at Da Paolo in Marina Bay and waited for the rain to calm with some postre and coffee.

When the rain stopped we headed back to Orchard to meet up with a friend over drinks while the others went to the spa. This was in Cuppage Terrace and in all honesty, everything in Singapore is very expensive BUT I did not hold back from spending for alcohol hahahaha. Thank you Vic for treating me to a tower and a bucket of 1664 😜

Day 3
Spent Valentine’s day morning at the Cloud Forest for the Avatar Experience as we were not able to go the night before because it was closed when we went.
I was geeking all throughout the immersive experience, I loved every bit of it! Now this would’ve been better during the nighttime, the play of lights must’ve been magical, nevertheless it was awesome.

Went to Chinatown after to grab us some lunch and buy some souvenirs.

Spent late afternoon at Raffles and I did the Tingtingtang Tiktok dance in front of the Merlion, the crowd were amused.

And capped off our Vday with some dinner with a view.

Homebound ✈
Went ahead of my friends as my flight was in the morning and theirs was still later in the evening. I loved how the airport is so organized. Check-in and immigration was such a breeze, no hassle at all.

Until the next trip and hopefully a complete lineup!

Now back to reality.
